The agreement between you and Sockaway.

By using Sockaway you agree to these Terms. They are written to be readable; please read them.

1. Who we are

Sockaway is an iOS and Android mobile app operated by Outwork LLC ("Sockaway", "we", "us"). The app helps you consolidate spending receipts and track them as a budget.

2. Account

You must be 13 or older to create an account.
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
One account per person, please. You can use the app on multiple devices.
You can delete your account in Settings at any time.

3. Free tier and Premium

Free — 10 receipt scans per calendar month. Counter resets on the 1st.
Premium — $9.99 / month or $89 / year. Unlimited scans, dedicated SMS receipt number, household sharing (when shipped), full history, advanced insights, exports.
Tax Pack — $24 one-time, available January through April only, for the prior tax year.
All purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Their refund policies apply.
A 7-day free trial is offered on first Premium subscription; cancel before day 7 in your App Store / Play Store account to avoid charge.

4. Acceptable use

Don't:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code.
Use the app to store fraudulent or illegally-obtained receipts.
Scrape, brute-force, or otherwise abuse our backend.
Resell access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. Your content

You own the receipts you capture. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process them solely to provide the service to you. We never sell, share, or use your receipt data for advertising or training of AI models. See our Privacy Policy.

6. AI parsing disclaimer

Sockaway uses Claude (by Anthropic) to extract structured data from your receipts. AI is imperfect. You should review parsed receipts and correct errors. Sockaway is not responsible for tax filings, business expense reimbursements, or financial decisions made on the basis of AI-extracted data.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. Scheduled maintenance and outages happen. Receipts you have already captured remain locally on your device when offline.

8. Termination

You may terminate at any time via Settings → Delete account permanently.
We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms with reasonable notice.
On termination, we delete your personal data per our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms when our service or the law changes. We will notify users by email at least 30 days before any material change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the federal or state courts located in Travis County, Texas.
